I used to be a big fan of wall arts. I had an obssession back then to window shop from malls to malls until I just realize I am collecting a lot of them, which to my justification is an efficient way to decorate my multi-listing airbnb units. It's easy and cheap. Until recently I discovered some disadvantages that prompt me to look for alternative, which is tapestry. Because cheap wall arts are printed on low quality canvas, I think, discoloration of the ink and acrylic paint wears off in a couple of years. When I say cheap, price is still at the thousands, like 1,500 being the lowest. They are affordable relative to legit artist works. So even if I consider them "cheap", I can't stand seeing my money's worth is only for 1 to 2 years long. And thus tapestry as a new wall decor for my airbnb listings.

Living Room:

This is the room we all spend most of our waking hours, so it makes sense to invest heavily on eye-pleasing decors. This also represent the home owners personality in some way. We all entertain guests and visitors some time in our life, don't we? Tapestries gives warmth and cordial feel to what could be a dull and boring plain wall. It somehow gives the illusion of softness built around the home, not just hard cement wall.

Bedroom:

Bedroom Wall Hangings

As mentioned above about giving off warmth, this amplifies further within the confines of a bedroom. Since you are already surrounded by soft and cushy things like pillows, blanket, mattress, what better way to top it all of by putting something above your headboard. Oh by the way, did I mention that tapestry is also good for sound accoustic since it absorbs sound waves compare to hard surfaces that bounce sound waves? So yeah, for whatever reasons you need to make some noise in your bedroom, you can rest assure your "noise" will be reduced. You're welcome.

Wall Hangings for Home Office or Study Area

If I am being real with you, the truth is I live alone in an aprtment and I rarely entertain any visitors, and when I do, they don't stay long before they leave since my place is not properly designed for such occation. I am writing this primarily becasue, I believe, this might help some fellow hosts out there to have an idea what can be a good alternative for wall arts. I am really glad I come across this product in IKEA. It's not cheap, it costs betweet 2,000 to 5,000 depending on size. But at least for this material, I can be at peace it will last more than 5 years or so. As long as no cats or annoying kids to scratch or ruin the fabric. My only thought of downside is cloth materials will naturally collect dusts. So perhaps laundry it every now and then?
